Purpose
Kids at C@C grow up
continuing to mature in their belief, becoming fully integrated members
of the body of Christ, pursuing a relationship with Christ on their own,
according to a foundation of belief that biblically and experientially
depicts God as He truly is. This relationship will cause an
outflow response of gratitude to God’s heart of redemption,
relationship, and restoration, resulting in the fruit of transformed
lives, love for one another, power for miracles, and a desire to see
others find new life in Jesus.
Mission
Reveal to this
generation of young people who Christ really is (SIT) and then lead them
to properly respond to him (WALK) and the world (STAND). To do this we
must help them discover the objective truth of the bible and the
historical/present figure of Christ, and how to cultivate a relationally
meaningful experience with Jesus. This will happen first through
the example of leaders who model Christ-likeness, and therefore earn the
right to be heard.
Student ministry program
dates during the Semester Break
Our last student
ministry Sunday small groups for the semester (at least officially) will
be on December 14th , and will resume again on the 4th of January. Our
last Wednesday night VOLITION events will be the all-student Christmas
Bash on December 17th (see above for details), and will resume on
January 7th. Just a reminder, High School meets every Wed 7pm-9pmish,
Middle School is every 1st and 3rd Wed from 7-8:30ish, and 5th/6th every
2nd Wed from 6-7:30pm.
No 5th/6th VOLITION this
Semester
For the time being VOLITION
for 5th and 6th graders won’t be meeting the second Wednesday from
6-7:30pm. Sorry for the change, but the interest level and staffing
needs need to be addressed to make this a viable program. Hopefully
we’ll see your 5th and 6th graders in Family Church with you on Sundays
at 10:15am. Family church is designed with 5th graders as the target age
of the kids so I’m sure they’ll enjoy themselves and take away some
great things that your family can discuss at home.
