Kevin was born in Glenwood and grew up in Redstone
and Carbondale where his family was part of the infant Church at Redstone.
Later, his
family spent 8 years in Tempe where he was part of several large churches
and became involved in Young Life. After moving back to the Roaring Fork
Valley, he finished his high-school playing sports, rediscovering
the wilderness, and staying involved in the Church at Carbondale. During
the rich growth of the college years at CSU, Kevin volunteered as a Young
Life leader and a backpacking guide with the same organization. Kevin met
his lovely wife Lynelle on one of those fateful backpacking trips. He
eventually found his way into teaching and after graduating, accepted a
teaching job at Basalt Middle School. For 4 years he
taught 7th and 8th grade science, math, and reading. He has been a
football and basketball coach, and has helped with the high school
ministry at C@C. Kevin’s desire is to see kids grow up to be healthy,
empathetic, God-fearing, and powerful people who are equipped to bring
about tangible change to this hurting world in the name of Jesus. He and
Lynelle have been blessed with two awesome kids, Ali and Max.
