PRAYER
"The effective prayers of a righteous man can accomplish much" -
James 5:16
We take prayer very seriously at C@C. We believe God has given us prayer as a means of
communicating with him for ourselves and for others. We greatly value both your requests and your prayers.
Be encouraged and listen to this story by Lee Strobel on the Power of
Prayer.
Let us pray that Jesus
would touch us, that we would not be "as dead", that we would be able to pray, encourage and join the
faithful that will minister to the little children. We have been granted incredible gifts and the
opportunity to bless God, yes please God in our living for His use. We are created in His image, filled with
His Spirit and this is the day He has made, what will we do? Rejoice and know that He has given us a white
stone with a new name on it, known only to him who receives it!!!! that's us!!!!
Here's a great Daily Prayer from John Eldredge's
book "Waking The Dead".
Jehoshaphat's
prayer in 2 Chronicles 20:5-13 is a great model for our prayers.
Listen to Pastor Doug's message
on this.
Today's Daily Prayer is an amazing online tool (from
www.rejesus.co.uk) written for anyone
who wants a richer
prayer life, and to stay closer to God throughout the day, using their
computer.
From it you can
get ideas about different aspects of devotion and prayer, and it will give you a taste
of where a rich prayer life could lead.

What do we do when God apparently doesn't answer our prayers? Here's Billy Graham's answer: "When God Doesn't Answer Prayer". If you want to dig deeper, follow Anne Graham
Lotz' bible study: "Why Doesn't God Answer My Prayer?"

Today's Daily Prayer
The C@C Model of Prayer: P.R.A.Y.
P - Praise: moves us into Gods presence; praise him for for
who he, and for all he has done.
R - Repent: confess sins and repent (turn away never to do
it again), to receive his
forgiveness.
A - Ask: petition him for help, healing, blessing for yourself,
and intercede on behalf of others.
Y - Yield: rest in his peace, and submit to his will,
trusting that he knows best and is in control.
