Daily Bible Study & Prayer
Daily Bible reading set up:
Do you have a special place where you place yourself before
God and His Word every day? If not, designate some place in
your house where you can be alone and uninterrupted for at
least a half hour each day. You may want to begin by reading a
few pages from a Christian book. Often this prepares our heart
and mind for Scripture and prayer. When you read the following
passages this week, follow this pattern:
1. Read
the passage slowly.
2. Ponder
the meaning.
3.
Meditate. Open your spirit to the Holy Spirit through His Word
by the process of your imagination. Ask God to
reveal to you a
scene that illustrates the truth He is trying to teach you.
Daily Bible Reading this week:
Meditate on these scriptures so you can
understand more about biblical hospitality than apply the exercise
on Saturday.
Monday – Luke 10:5-6
Tuesday - Genesis 18:1-19
Wednesday - Hebrews 13:1-2
Thursday - Luke 7:46
Friday - 3 John 1-8
Saturday - Make a list of things that would
need to be changed at your house so that you could show
hospitality to strangers. Pray for God to visit you as a
stranger you can show hospitality too. |
