Prayer:
Is it about getting what you want
or is it about God getting you?

drink it, Thy will be done." Matthew 26:42
Daily Bible Study & Prayer
Daily Bible reading set up:
Do you have a special place where you place yourself before
God and His Word every day? If not, designate some place in
your house where you can be alone and uninterrupted for at
least a half hour each day. You may want to begin by reading a
few pages from a Christian book. Often this prepares our heart
and mind for Scripture and prayer. When you read the following
passages this week, follow this pattern:
1. Read
the passage slowly.
2. Ponder
the meaning.
3.
Meditate. Open your spirit to the Holy Spirit through His Word
by the process of your imagination. Ask God to reveal to you a
scene that illustrates the truth He is trying to teach you.
Daily Bible Reading this week:
On the road to Jerusalem. Between now and April
8th, Easter Sunday, we’ll be following along with Jesus and
the Disciples as they make their way to Jerusalem where Jesus
will be crucified and resurrected. Let these passages prepare
your heart for Resurrection Sunday!
Monday - Read Matthew 26:1-35.
Tuesday - Read Matthew 26:36-67.
Wednesday - Read Matthew
26:69-27:10.
Thursday - Read Matthew 27:11-31.
Friday - Read Matthew 27:45-66.
Saturday - Read Matthew 28:1-20.
Join me this year: Let’s get into the Word and
get the Word in us! I’ll put the suggested readings in the
bulletin each Sunday. Here’s the plan: March- Read Luke, one
chapter a day, taking time to ponder, perhaps do a little
study, time for it to soak in. This week also read 1 Peter,
one chapter a day. |
